A nice seamless completely vanishes from the image and all the focus is on the subject. I don't know if the average joe or jane will like this, but I certainly do. I guess this is more of a style issue than I originally thought....

I think it depends on your intended use and audience. For an modeling work I like seamless and some parents like it for high key work, too, but sometimes I find that parents want texture to the background instead of just color. I like how the seamless works out and is easy to edit in post but some people seem to find it plain even with color on it.

I should have admitted right up front that I have little experience in the area of studio work. In fact, I just started working in a make shift studio this week and I selected a background based on my personal preferences rather than any knowledge of what a customer might like.

The Perfect Backdrop

Maybe what I should buy is a 10ftx20ft sheet of digital paper. Then I can change the backgrounds on a whim. And benefit from the fact that no shadows will be seen...

Hmm...where did I put that $10 million check...?
