Ok I haven't really played with my menu settings much, but I at least know what should be there. But hardly any of that stuff is there now.
Example: In the "camera icon" tab there should be at least seven rows of settings and there is only three: "Quality", "Red Eye", & "Beep". The rest of the tabs are also missing settings. I just noticed this today when I went to put my name in.
Can anyone tell me what's going on, what's happened to my setting parameters?
I can't get it in to be looked at professionally as I am in the middle of nowhere.
I am finding this very worrisome.
PLease help soon before all my hair falls out from worrying. ;)

Maybe this is part of Canon's "planned obsolescence" program.

Just kidding. Mine has the hack, but I agree there should be other items than what you are seeing, even without the hack. You may have a firmware issue. I believe Canon has current firmware up for download.

If you are in Auto mode in the camera, or different modes with the dial, different settings appear or disappear from the menus. Try going into "M" mode and see if you're still having the problem :)

If its any consolation I just bought my 300D brand new, that is all that is on my menu camera icon settings are the 3. So maybe that is normal.

Konador is so right. The mode you are in determines the amount of settings you have. Hope your hair survived ;) Have a great day!

Well, well. It's good that our resident boy genius knows what's going on, anyway :) Thanks, Ben. I felt a little dumb there because I didn't know what was up.
