| Pretty interesting stuff. I mean I know he's a very clever man and he was careful in his selections, but even then I didn't expect him to get such a high success rate. |

Basically he brainwashed them! I can now understand why Patty Hearst joined the terrorist group in the 60's. What are we capable of, if treated in this way? One guy threatened murder!

Yeah - I just watched that. I think it was all done for the TV.
There is no way I could be brainwashed into commiting something like that and I don't believe the so called "middle class managment" types they had on there would either... |

Okay Having never heard of this guy, I googled him and found some sites.
The channel 4 site had some clips I watched, and his personal site had "The Heist" Jan 4th on the main page.
I take it the heist was tonites show, any more info on what took place? |

The idea was to see if he could get normal peopple to take part in an armed robbery. None of them was told what was planned and he never suggested to them that they commit the robbery or even spoke to them about armed robbery.
Basically he invited people to apply to take part in one of his shows without saying what would happen then selected 13 to a seminar supposedly to teach them some of his techniques to help them in their lives - motivation and dealing with people. All were middlemanagement status. At the seminar he talked to them and through some situations he set up he selected about 6 of them although they didn't realise it. They thought it was just filming of the seminar. The 6 he gave then invited to take part in the experiment where a teacher inflicts pain on a "pupil" to see how far they would obey authority and from that four were selected, again without their knowledge. All through the seminar he had been bringing in certain stimuli and triggers like certain colours, ideas, music. Then he set up a meeting with them in London. Individually each arrived and had to walk down a London street and was faced with a security guard loading money into a security van. All the triggers were used and three out of the four drew a toy gun he had given them at the seminar, threatened the "guard", stole the money and ran off down the street!

| I really like his acts. The Zombie "game" from the last series was best IMO. Unfortunately I've not in the UK anymore, i.e. no C4. Maybe will try to find it on the net somewhere...oh BTW his website has some cool clips on. |
