Try the Brilliance/Warmth plugin or the B/W Conversion: Tonal Enhancer plugin...they're both great!

Pro Contrast grooves - I could show you pics but the point is to have it not "visible"

White Neutralizer is a must have.

Darken/lighten center is awesome.

b/w tonal enhancer, varitone, russett stylizers are good, sunshine and the reflectors are nice if you muss up something, foliage and indian summer are good if that's what you want to push.

mavrik, is that first picture of a bride holding a child the pro contrast filter? I appologize in advanced if not but, what bothers me about that filter is it makes dark colors underexposed, the womans hair is too dark their is no detail what so ever in her hair...i've been taught thats a "no no" for printing am i correct?
i'm sorry but my mentor has taught me how to look for stuff like this :)

-I dont know how to use white neutralizer and cant remember what it did exactly at the time

-darken/lighten center is just another viggnete imo.

-b/w tonal enahancer is easily done w/ photoshop if you know the steps.

-brilliance/warmth is just like photot filter in photoshop imo

- the rest of the ones you guys listed i cannot remember at the time.

Am i just too photoshop savy that i know how to do everything nik efex can do or what, i wanna see why its so cool besides saving a few seconds of my time..

hey, you don't have to like it - but I can do in the touch of two buttons what takes you 4 layers and 15 clicks. I do this for a living - I need speed. :)

As far as the first pic - I believe it's sunshine filter. And I had one printed 8x10 for the bride and she LOVES it! :) We have a certain style - VERY high contrast, blown highlights, dark shadows and our clients book us for that reason. If I made everything 'normal' they'd hate it.

true, thats the only advantage i see to it so far...i'll play with the filters you mentioned when i get the chance agian.

what about the stylizing filters, what would you use em for? i see no real point to em besides neat little art things
