Nope... he simply cropped mine and entered it. As his "source," he Photoshopped out the ant from my shot and added a second photo of an ant, claiming that he combined the two to create "his" entry.

There is actually another stolen image from that same contest (not from here)

I am sure it will be taken care of quickly also.

Tim I had never seen this one. That is so funny! My husband loved it too.

Shannon you shouldn't be so good then people wouldn't steal your work. :P Sorry this has happened to you again.

The Sad part is there are people out there that do this, and take full credit for themselves and see nowrong doing so. That is the bad part, what happened if the guy decided to make prints of it or sell it, where does it end. Sad...

Well at least he'd be working from a cropped 640px "original." The prints would be pretty bad, and I seriously doubt that he'd be able to sell it as stock anywhere.

In a strange, strange way....this is the ultimate form of flattery.

Yep, his camera should be smashed.

Probably doesn't even have one, hence the stealing of images. Probably using a pirated copy of Photoshop he got from Setzler's boss, too. =)

OMG... maybe it IS Setzler's boss!

If nothing else, I find it ironic that "Overachiever" would win a contest I didn't enter. ;-)

Yes, that is certainly overachieving, but anyone who would steal another artist's work and pass it off as their own is just a lowlife scumbag.

There are truly some over the top thieves out there. I had one guy remove one of my most popular images from a site and remove my name off it and place it under his name on another site. He was receiving endless comments and favourites on it and had it available for download, even from a websize image. I tried gettting him to remove it offline. That didn't work....so I then started abusing him publicly...and I mean abusing him...language flying everywhere. He still refused. He then blocked me from the image and him and his friends then tried to accuse me of stealing the image from him. The image was of my daughter....I had the EXIF information, the original and the large version. They steal tried to accuse me....so then I went to the Yahoo who owned the site but it wasn't under their name. They removed the image but not him. So go figure. LOL!!

I have that many images stolen it isn't funny, but when I see someone elses image stolen I always tell the true owner where it is.
