He even has two source images posted at photobucket as if he took the shots himself to fit the contest - photoshop an impossible image.

Already alerted the admins. Get a good look because I don't think it'll be there very long. |

Now I see how you created your superant. Photoshop of course :) |

Sheesh. Wonder how much of his other stuff is plagiarized?
Prolly all he'll get is a slap on the wrists, having the photo removed. Hope they are more severe with him, but I'm guessing not.

the funny thing is he had to do a bit of editing and go take a picture of an ant to make like he actually did it himself |

There is an old Shakespear line " he who steals my purse steals trash". In your case Shannon it seems your shots are good enough that someone can steal your shot, and lie to say they had to use Photoshop to make the thing, and still win! Quite the backhanded compliment. |

But Shannon DID take the picture. It wasn't impossible. Duh.
If youre going to steal someones image, at least read how they did it! |

Even funnier is that he swiped a Basic Editing photo as-is for a Photoshopping contest. ;-)
A big thank you to Manic for spotting the photo! |

Maybe your photos are getting so good, they've become sentient and are submitting themselves LOL

If nothing else, I find it ironic that "Overachiever" would win a contest I didn't enter. ;-) |

Sure, it was simply a crop of this one-
The admins said they're going to "deal" with the offending member directly. |

I suppose I could ask. All I know (from his profile) is that he's Russian. I wonder if it's a coincidence that another one of my shots was spotted on a Russian website a few weeks ago? |

Someone who steals another photographer's work should have their camera smashed.
I didn't see the offending picture, but it sounded like he'd combined your picture with one he did take himself. Maybe that's why he thought it was okay?
