Does anyone with that camera has any idea how to change the apareture values if my lens does not have an apareture ring on it?
Even in A mode (ap. priority), the button that changes speed values, has no effect on the ap. values :-(
Please don't tell me this is impossible.....

N90 = F90: The original model, with plain camera back. N90 is the name used only in USA.
Can't use VR lenses. The one thing about the N90s's age is that it pre-dates Nikon's VR technology. It can use AF-S, but not VR. Also, if you end up with G-type lenses (no aperture ring), you can only use them on the N90s in Program or Shutter-priority mode.

Most of my lens are D type so I have the ap. ring on them. But my kit lens is a AF-S lens without the ring...
So sad this is... I suppose I will only have to use P mode until I get to buy a decent wide lens...
By the way, my camera has a data back (m-25?? if i'm not mistaken - it has a world clock, date and saving data options)
Not that it matters... |

If your kit lens (I presume came with the D70s) is a DX type, you won't be able to use it on the N90 - the image circle is smaller as the D-SLR's have smaller sensors than a 35mm film frame (24x36mm). |

the 17-55mm has no vingetting from 24-55mm on a full frame
it depends which DX lens & what focal length |

The 12-24 is very usable from 18-24, in fact its one of the sharpest 24s Nikon has ever made. Not very usable on the N90(s) since you would limited to P & S modes. |

I see I'm way behind here (I do sleep occasionally) but the answer to the original query is as llnyc said; you can't.
