i use a canon rebel and was wondering if there was a way i could double expose images...mostly for live band photography

You can do it easily in Photoshop. It's really a more practical solution than trying to do it hit-or-miss in camera, which isn't anyway possible with your Rebel unless you use a long shutter speed and cap the lens between "exposures", or some such approach.

There's a thread running on the new D-200 Nikon, which allows superimposition of images in-camera after the shooting of them, and there are some fuji P&S cams that allow double exposing as well. There may be others...
