Just a minor annoyance - when replying to a thread at the moment once you hit the Post button you are taken to the first page of the thread. Your new comment is on the last page of the thread. Ideally you should be taken to the last page to see your comment and any other recently added comments

P.S. Thanks D&L for running a great site !

If you set your preferences to display 200 posts per page, there is rarely more than one page per thread. Or set the posts to appear in reverse order you're set. :)

Just click that thing at the top right that says "reverse"

Mine show with the most recent post when I hit reply. You're just backwards.

its most recent first when you're writing your reply but then goes back to the first page of thread when you post your reply (unless of course you've reversed it)

Yup, thats what I was saying. Every other forum I've ever used will take you to the end of the thread when you hit reply. Just tried the reverse thingi and its just too weird, I'm used to having the posts with the oldest at the top. As I said its only a minor annoyance, you can always click on the last page number at the bottom of the page, just seems strange that its not done by default.

Yep, one of several annoying quirks about the user interface on these forums, some others are:

- no way to go directly to the last unread post of the thread (and no, reversing the order is not an option -- I don't like reading the thread backwards).

- posting a reply should take you back to where you were when you hit the button to reply.

- No way to see which threads I've posted to (a checkmark on the icon to the right would work)

- inconsistent showing of unread threads (if you take a while to work thru them, they time out and the icons are reset to 'read').

- clicking the author's name take me directly to their profile -- in the same window. (everything else opens a new window)

- little in the way of text formatting. It would be nice to be able to change the color and size of the text (although could be abused). At the very least an option to change to a monospaced font for making tables and such, and the ability to make bulleted lists that are formatted as indented lists for easier reading.

- spaces over 1 between characters are removed. (Similar to previous, but I learned to place two spaces between sentences for easier reading -- it does help).

Don't get me wrong, the site functions well -- but the user interface has a few minor annoyances.

There is one way - got to My Home -> My Profile but I think you mean while in forum view... sounds handy

I agree with that request...and I don't like reading the posts in reverse.

Just send me to the last post or at least the top of the last page...many forums are set that way so I assume it's not too hard to do.

Also listing the page numbers to each thread, on the front page of the forum might save us another unecessary click...

All that clicking is such tough work...
