I am based in Australia and want to know anybody's opinions or experiences on these two sites. I am interested in the 5D and want to know peoples experiences with the two companies.
Express Cameras with USA warranty
USA Photo Nation
This last one apparently have an International Warranty but I cannot find much about it.
Help.

Do Not do business with a company online until you have checked Resellers Ratings and reading the feedback.

I always use B&H Photo and have never had a problem. Good service, better then average prices. No issues in 5+ years.
Go here for the 5d //www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?ci=1&sb=ps&pn=1&sq=desc&InitialSearch=yes&O=RootPage.jsp&A=search&Q=*&bhs=t&shs=canon+5d |

If you plan on spending over $3,000 on a camera body..do yourself a favor...do business with the major players...
...Samy's on the west coast
...B&H on the east coast (I love Penn Camera in Washington D.C form my
days at The Washington Times)
...Cameta Camera....
Just to name 4 or so...
They all offer competetive pricing and stand solid on customer service...

Newegg is always good to me, but they're not a camera shop, more a PC parts & stuff. They have a pretty good deal $3,109

I don't think you need to go buy from a Major Player they tend to be the worst for customer service but you are over seas so you don't have acess to the great local pro camera shops that we do in america |

Wow...thanks everyone for the feedback. I have checked out many places in Australia and they range from $4,500 upwards....so that is why I was checking other loctions.
I cannot even get any photographic gear where I live so all of my shopping has to be done on the internet...which is a hassle as I cannot see it in person.
Thanks again everyone.

Yes that is about right....but that is on ebay for those prices....that is why I am checking elsewhere...
For me to buy it in a camera store on the coast it would be anywhere between $5200 (AUD) and $5500(AUD).
So I am just trying to find what options I have.

try these guys, they were cheapest when I was looking for 350D. I ended up buying from ebay. It was a fair price but had to pay customs, GST on top. They sent the wrong power point convertor so I had to go to Dick Smiths and pay another $20 for that. It took 9 emails and 2 months to get the right one from them. It came with an international warranty but I would rather have a local shop to ring up if anything went wrong. I couldn't imagine being without my cam for a week yet alone more. As it is my flash sticks down and I have to lift it by hand but I'm not going to do anything about that. |
