Yes, that's the goofy slogan this year for the Jacksonville Zoo in Jacksonville, Florida.
Spent the day there today, it's a favorite shooting place when I want to try out new equipment. All of the pics below were taken with the Canon 70-200 L F4 that I just got on Tuesday. Hope you enjoy! :)

Wow, sharp images. The 100% crop of the lions makes me wish I could use that lens on my camera.

OH they are lovely! I can't wait till my Zoo reopens after winter - WELL what they CALL winter anyway here in Florida. LOL.....
Jacksonville is about 7 hours from me idnic! I see they have a lovely Zoo and you took some wonderful shots!

I'm not sure that I have ever seen the lions when they weren't asleep. Nice shots. |

I guess it was the nice weather yesterday. I've never seen them awake either and I go to the zoo LOTS, but they were not only awake, but frisky! It was nice.
Rose, we do have a lovely zoo. Its very natural and tropical in feel. Small, but lovely. The exibits are nice too, not too hard to get a shot that doesn't show bars or cages, etc. Some of those shots were taken through viewing glass (the mt. lion, chimp and the bobcat)
