These weren't meant to be formal portraits. They were taken in Cici's Pizza. I just happen to like the way they came out, or at least I think they have potential.

The only thing I can think of is maybe some dodging and burning, the background is a little strong, her face is a little dark.

My take on it.. Shadow/Highlight, curves, brightness/contrast, levels, neatimage to generate a cleaned up image, pasted as a new layer, used layer mask to apply it only to parts of her face and arm.

I played a little and came out with this. It's kinda soft but I think the brightness helps, and look at that yellow!

PS. cropped to 4 * 6 and removed the obstacle in lower right corner.
