I took this the other day and just got to it, personally i like it, you can barely see catalina island in the horizon and in the for ground you can see the fishing boat coming in to the peninsula.

for editing i croped, adjusted levels, and added a red filter, then history brushed it off the water.

What do you think ? Image

It actually wasnt a vacation for me, my brother was visiting me, so it was his vacation, lol, i didnt think to change the title,
i will play with it a bit more, see what i come up wiht.

I think this photo really need more of a focal point here. The colors and water are pretty and all, but I personally need more to look at in a photo. 2-cents.

I agree, very nice looking just looking for something to catch the eye

probably if the island was more visible, i like the boat, but its hard to see at this size.

ah, yes. very possible. again the limits of 640x480. Guess it might make a good large print, but on the web here it loses a lot.

It is a beautiful shot & if that is where you live, I certainly envy you. You̢۪d asked for comments: I̢۪d sharpen, adjust saturation & contrast and crop such that the horizon is not directly in the middle (e.g., draw the viewer̢۪s attention to see what you see). Good photo.
