Copyright infringement comes into play when someone trys to sell a photo of a copyrighted object. If you don't try to sell it you can take a picture of almost anything.
Right?

Hey Gang:

Is there some rule going into affect about photographing bridges? I heard that they are confiscating cameras and/or film from people in NYC if they are caught taking photos of the bridges.(?) Something to do with terrorism and they don't want photos taken that would allow terrorist to have structural schematics of the bridges? Is this true? Anyone know? Has anything like this been put into affect on the Golden Gate Bridge?

Just curious.

Thanks!

I don' tthink Photoshop has a function like this - strictly speaking, photoshop is for pictures, and not for text. Use Freehand / illustrator for text and vector graphics instead!

hehe. Don't post stuff like this b/c you KNOW I have to try it. I can tell you what that command does if you're in AIM. It makes all of your posts superscript! Not good.

Windows users can also copy the character from the Character Map Accessory (Key Caps on the Mac).

Bill -- about architecture, the copyright site says:

Does copyright now protect architecture?
Yes. Architectural works became subject to copyright protection on December 1, 1990. The copyright law defines "architectural work" as "the design of a building embodied in any tangible medium of expression, including a building, architectural plans, or drawings." Copyright protection extends to any architectural work created on or after December 1, 1990, and any architectural work that on December 1, 1990, was unconstructed and embodied in unpublished plans or drawings. Architectural works embodied in buildings constructed prior to December 1, 1990, are not eligible for copyright protection. See, Circular 41.

So the Golden Gate shouldn't fall under that rule...

Hey bebe... That's probably because you have to use the numerical part of the keyboard, which you don't have on your laptop. I think it might work if you press numlock though, and use the "other" numbers on the letter keys. Didn't think of that the other day...
