I sold a print! I sold a print! Yes, indeed I sold a print!
Now I can cross that one out of my list of goals :) Sweet! I have suspicions on who bought my Sundial Bridge photo but fear I could be wrong so if you could ever be so kind and reveal yourself that would be awesome :)
Woohoo! I'm doing the happy dance with you Caleb! |

I used to live in downtown San Francisco and loved shooting the architecture there, that's one of the big things I miss about California.
I saw your photo a while back and always liked it so I figured no time like the present ;) |

And a present it is :) I called my friend and told him I sold a print. The conversation kinda went like this:
Dude I sold a print!
Oh yeah? How much?
$5 bucks!
That's it?
Yeah but I sold a print!
How much did you make?
Ummmm... $2.32
Whaaaat? And you're excited and calling me about that?
Yeah but I sold a print!
That can't even buy you a tall mocha.
Yeah but damn it! I sold a print!
Sigh! Some people just don't understand why we get so excited about these things. It's the little things that make me happy ;) Thanks Dan! |

I can relate...sort of. I remember when I sold my first picture on Shutterstock. A whopping 20 cents :-) For some odd reason, my heart was pounding and I was telling myself the same thing, "You sold a print!" It's funny how excited we get over little things.

I couldnt believe that someone liked it enough to pay money for it. It is such a major thrill, dont ever lose that feeling of gratitude. :) |

| Congrats Rikki! It's not really the $$$ that matters; just the fact that others like your work can be such a high! Besides the nickles and dimes you earn from sales can be deducted from prints you order for yourself. I think the $25 membership is money well spent! I was promoting this site to my dentist who is into photography, and he joined (but I don't think he's posted a thing yet). But I told him he needs to upload his prints and order them from DPCPrints because the quality is phenomenal (sp?). |

Thats great Rikki!!!
It's not the cash, its the fact that someone else appreciates your work as much as you! |

| Thanks guys! I am still doing my little happy jig :) I told my girlfriend and she was so happy for me too. Like you guys say, it's not how much I made but the fact that someone likes my image ;) |
