As hard as I tried, I could not find any reviews of the recently released 35mm Macro lens that I was interested in buying. So I bit the bullet and took a chance and bought one from B&H. After having it less then as week, I have to say that for the money compared to the 50mm I am extremely pleased. While I know this site for the most part favors Nikon and Canon I thought I'd post this here anyway. As there are alot of members who I have talked to who wanted me to post some photos in my profile from this lens. So I am going to put up some photos pretty much straight from the camera, no crops at all, then I am going to crop a section and zoom in. I hope this helps any other OLY owners make up your mind. One thing to keep in minds as well, I am still a newbie to dSLR cameras. So some of what you see may very well be me. I also am putting up a few pics at 1:4 portrait mode to show you how that looks. They are straight from the camera no crop.

Anyone who wishes to critique feel free to.

I've have had the 35mm macro lens on backorder for a month now, maybe its time to cancel & order from B&H. Considering Olympus' legacy for macros I have high expectations. It looks sharp. Currently I'm using enlarger lens and Nikon lenses for macro. |

Wow I ordered it on Saturday and it was in my hands on Wednesday with 2 day UPS. I think I might cancel that order and try B&H.

Hi Matt,
Received your link to the forum and commented on a couple of images...I think that lens is very sharp..it looks as good as my 50mm..check my comments on pics; I had a couple of ideas..lol. Enjoy yourself, what happened to me is that I'm crazy about that macro lens and can't get away from doing macros all the time..I have a couple of flower images I'll post in my profile later today or tomorrow. |

I agree with dragonlady.... lens looks sharp. Also, I like the interesting and useful focal length. |
