Hello everyone! I haven't posted in awhile. I would love to hear what you guys think of my website (M.H. Photography). I have a new logo (thanks to my husband) and have updated the colors and fonts. I would appreciate your feedback!

I'm mostly going to comment on your "Home" page, because that is where a potential client begins to form their first impression.

The main images load very slow and I am on a T1 connection. You need to optimize your images for the web.

The main logo is very busy and hard to read. None of the fonts used carry through on the rest of the website. After the main page the logo is no longer visable. There is no branding through the site saying this is M.H. Photography, other than the line on the bottom of the pages.

It appears you cut the child photo out of the background. This is fine, but try "feathering" your selection so it does not look so rough and jaggy.

Just a few quick things I saw. As far as the content, it all looks good.

Hope this is the kind of feedback you were looking for and it helps you.

I dissagree w/cbeller on the load time-- it was fast for me on cable.
On par with anyother photo site..
I like the layout, easy to navigate..
My minor gripe is I think your Font Size is a bit large, but I'm picky.

Looks good but like said before, the baby on the front page looks very rough and jagged around the edges though it did load fairly quickly for me on a cable connection and through a firewall.

Do you specialise in any field ? If yes, keep the portfolio short and covering that field mostly.
The People category at this time has way too many photos. Keep only the best ones to show your work but not many

I guess I should clarify. Load time was slow considering I am on high speed. The logo image is 100KB and the child image is 142KB, rather large file sizes for web. If your target audience is only broadband users, no problem. If you expect dialup users, I'd consider reducing the file size.

Just my opinion though.

I think you need to change the way you show pictures. It should not open to new page with white background but you should have link so that a user can go to next or previous image with one click.

I have changed one of the photos on my homepage and reduced the size of the files of both photos. Let me know if this is any better! Thanks for your input!

I have also changed the fonts throughout the webpage to reflect the fonts in the logo.

:) Looks like we're both struggling with web design tonight. Well here's my help for what its worth... I find it hard to pick your name in the logo, otherwise the site is clean and organized welll.

I have added my logo to every page of the website as well.

Idnic:
Thank you for your comments. I didn't want my name to be too visible since my business is "M.H. Photography" not "Mandy Hall Photography"

Nikolai1024:
Thank you for your help. I am limited to how to display my photos because I am using Frontpage 2002(I got a copy for free from my boss who wasn't using it and I didn't want to have to purchase software if I didn't have too). They have a slideshow feature that I tried to use, but it was only viewable on Internet Explorer. The way I have it set up is the only way I could figure out (I don't know much about webpage designing) that could be viewed on most browsers.

cbeller:
Thank you so much for all of your comments! I tried resizing the photos to under 100 KB. I hope this is better! I also changed my fonts and added my logo to all of the pages at the bottom. I have changed out the baby pic on my homepage for a different pic.

gaurawa:
Thanks for your help! I don't specialize in any one field (although I seem to be doing more portraits lately because they pay!). I downsized the amount of photos in the "People" section of my portfolio.

Neuferland:
Thanks for your help! I have replaced the baby pic with a different child pic.

buzzrock:
Thank you for your comments!

Thank you guys for all of your feedback! It is greatly appreciated!
