As we approach the new year, I thought some statistics about "High-Tech Households" from 1990 might offer some perspective ...
Percentage of U.S. Households owning:
68% - VCR
31% - Answering machine
25% - Cordless phone (not cell phone)
23% - Home computer
19% - Compact disc player |

Where's the same stats for this year? It would be interesting to compare the two.
In 1990 I ....
Didn't own a VCR
Didn't own an Answering Machine
Didn't own a Cordless Phone
Did own a Home Computer
Did own a Compact Disc Player
Now in 2005 I have everything but the VCR. Do people still have those? I gave mine away years ago. |
