so I am in the middle of processing almost 1500 shots from the last show I did and I came accross a image that really struck me
after playing with it a while this is what "developed"
The BW conversion was done with "kents b&W selective color" action
then shot over to Painter for the lighting effect
Back to PS for a color adjustment level to add just a bit of blue (cooled it down a bit)
NI (just a smidge)
USM
I think that I like it ... Comments (harsh and otherwise ) are always welcome !

What is "kents B&W..." action and why did you use it?
It's a great image but I would have tried going with a crop closer to her hand. I could be wrong but the space to her right doesn't add much if not even, takes a little something away. Just an opinion.
The light degree of cooling is very nicely done.
Cheers

Thanks for the comment and I have recropped the image moving her off center to the right
Kents' B&W is an action that I found that automates the conversion process... it through steps that you would do manually like boosting saturation setting the adjustment layers for conrast and channel mixer etc.
there are 2 versions 1 for a cymk conversion 1 for rgb.
It simplifes the process for me....
there is another action that does the conversion in LAB that I like a lot. It tends to give more of a range to landscapes and such. |
