Challenge: Mailboxes
Details: You see them everywhere, on a wall by the door, at the street, and in post offices. You can find them in urban settings and in the middle of nowhere. Some are funny, some are old, and some are abandoned. Pick a mailbox and take your best photograph that depicts the type of mailbox you’re photographing. Good luck.

I like it. An overall theme that allows for creativity without the DNMC comments. Let's go for it!

Great idea.

... and good description.

Not so many here in China. Really. At least in the city I live. I even have hard times to explain what Post Office means. Weird!

We don't have them in the UK either.

How do you get your mail?

If there are no mail boxes of any kind, how do you get your mail?

I've run this through the guys down at the Description Analysis lab and they couldn't find anything ambiguous in it, but that never stopped the controversy before. ;-)

I like it!

For the UK or other countries (or U.S. for that matter), what about a Mail drop-off box?

We have letterboxes (which aren't boxes but are rectangular openings in our front doors).

We do have post boxes (what some of you above referred to as mail drop-off boxes).

... or the slot in the front door.

Kavey beat me by a few seconds.

Our last house had that also. I like it better because the mail does not stack up outside if you are away for a few days, but we now have the old fashioned mail box by the curb (but it is not picture worthy!).
