Have a question. :-(

Not having entered into any challenges yet, I'm not sure about part of the rules.

We are supposed to follow DPC Advanced Editing Rule, but with leniency on major element.

What I am unsure about (hence why I have not entered any challenges! ;-))...

Selective Editing: Adjustments can be made selectively to your photo. Cloning, dodging, burning, etc. to improve your photo or remove imperfections or minor distracting elements, etc. is acceptable. However, using any editing tools to duplicate, create, or move major elements of your photograph is not permitted.

Filters: At your discretion, you may apply filters to your photo, in whole or part.

For this contest (and for challenges too if someone can let me know), if I was to use either the lasso tool or magic wand and use color balance on one particular area, or using same tools, apply a ripple effect... would that be allowed?

Sorry that it sounds like dumb question, but my unasked questions have kept me from entering challenges.

Skyarcher - yes you may make selections within an image and apply filters/effects in Advanced Editing.
