20D should have come with Digital Photo Professional Sisc as well. If you can load that one up, you don't need the other; it's better.

Are you wanting the cd to connect your camera or to view your RAW files? If it's just to view the files, you can use Raw Shooter Essentials. It's free.

This is because RAW files naturally look bad; they have had no post-processing applied to them and they lack contrast, sharpness, color balance, color saturation, all that good stuff. You add it in processing, which is the point of RAW.

You don't need a program at all, if you can hook the camera to the computer or if you have a card reader installed. Just create a folder on the desktop, connect the card to the computer, and dump the contents of the card into the new folder. Then copy the folder to a CD.

Although it involves a purchase, my suggestion is to go buy a card reader, they are only $20 or so. That will be sooooo much faster than downloading from your cam, and deos not require any external software (the CF card looks like a removable drive).

I agree. I work on a Mac and never connect the camera, just stick the card in a reader and it becomes part of the file system. I then copy them from Bridge to an archive directory and then copy again to a working directory so I always have the untouched file available. I keep the archive and working copies on separate hard drives.

Card reader plus Breeze Downloader and Breeze Browser. Life can be easier. Adobe bridge may have some advantages over Breeze, I just cant seem to find any yet.

I agree... get a card reader. When I'm out in the field, my card reader is a godsend.

when you connect your camera to the computer it should show up in windows explorer file tree as a drive labeled as your camera clicking on this should open up the folders in your card, then you can just drag and drop them in to any folder you make

On the canon site,go under the 1D line of cameras and DL the 'updater' for DPP - digital photo professional 2.0 - it is canon's RAW program.
The tutorials for it are here.

Free and works GREAT!
