Do you know who many challenges DPC has had? How many entries? How many votes? and how many challenge entry comments?

I have compiled the numbers and you can view at DPCstats. I was amazed!

Shouldn't it say 'have left 1,069,680 comments on challenge entries'?

I wonder if it's worth tracking down the one-millionth comment or the twenty-millionth vote ... now that I think of it, only 5% comments on average isn't all that good ...

I knew what he meant to but had to think about it for a second. I was just trying to help him be statistically accurate! :-)

I know you knew or you wouldn't have been able to phrase it properly : )

I'd really like to know more detail though, like number of votes or comments ranked by finishing score. For example, what's the average number of votes or comments given to photos which finish with a score of 6.xxxx compared with those which finish with a 4.xxxx

That would require a lot of time and effort since I donĂ¢€™t have access to any of DPChallenge databases. I would have to go through all 81,069 entries and calculate the results. I guess that would keep me busy in 2006 :).

I could take three challenges that are close to the overall averages and compile the numbers based on those challenge stats. It would not be accurate but it would provide a good estimate +/- 3 to 5 percent.
