i have been waiting for the call from precision camera and video so i can go pick up my d200, but i wont be able to open it until the 26th the day of my b-day

my birtday was last week and I will have to wait till mid Jan at earlest to get my one here in Australia

k so here are my first three shots. I'm sorry not to have a more attractive subject, but i'm on my way out and I'm all I've got.

For the geeks in the crowd:
Nikkor 60mm F2.8 Macro, ISO100, 1/80 shutter, F3.4, full crop, no resizing or sharpening, manual focus on the head of the pin.


the next two are with the Nikkor 50mm F1.8, 1/125 shutter, F1.8, cropped, resized, no sharpening. (obviously one with my usual quadtone). These would be how they'd look as a DPChallenge entry (640pix and under 150kb)



Now i'm off...late as usual. I have some real shoots with real models coming up in the next few weeks, so more to come later.

Here's a pic I took of the wee man yesterday. Indoors, handheld, no flash, 1/60th shutter, ISO 800, no sharpening or noise reduction...only resized and compressed.

My J&R Salesdude told me....maybe Tuesday, they would get another shipment in. This has been the longest, most painful wait I've had, in recent memory.

the same thing is happening to me right now, i paid for that same camera and have been waiting for it for a week or so.

That stinks Steve. I can tell you though, it is worth the wait. 2 min. after it arrives, you will have forgotten about the pain you are experiencing now. Not unlike child birth I imagine. ;)
