i don't eat at the computer ever since i was a kid and watched my friend accidentally dump part of her grape fanta into the keyboard. from then on, the g and h keys were forever fused together.

and, don't take this the wrong way, but i hope there's some listerine nearby... woo! :P

I like cookies and milk the best though...although I spilled the milk on my parents keyboard when I was in like 7th grade, lol. We needed a new one anyways/

I used to like floppie disks (easier to chew), but it's hard to find em anymore...:(

I feed my computer a bit of this and a bit of that. Sometimes me and my laptop go out for a byte.

I don't eat or drink at or anywhere near the computer. Neither do I tolerate smoke, dust or fingers touching a monitor.

My study looks like the genius bar at an Apple store on a weekend, but even Mon-Sat I screen visitors carefully. The least I expect are low voices and washed hands.

I'm frequently to be found with a pair of chopsticks and a fanned-out array of very thin slices of leftover steak, roast pork, whatever is handy, sprinled with minced peppers and herbs, highlighted with a dab of real wasabi. My work station is an "L" with a very long vertical bar, so the "ell" part, to my left, is a food-safe zone; swilvel 'n eat, swivel 'n type, repeat as desired :-)

Yeah, no food near my own computer. Although I do fancy a nice cup of java sitting on the next desk. Now my computer at work, heck, I dine with it daily. Anything's fair game there!

I've had computers for 9 years now, I eat at them alot, I have never spilled anything in or on my keyboard. Now there may be crumbs in the keyboard but I clean it out about once a month. I never put my fingers on my monitor though.

Chocolate... lots of chocolate. I love chocolate... my boss gave me a Whitman's sampler box (the big one) for christmas a couple of hours ago. I'm almost done with the first layer!!! mmmm mmmm good... it's not affecting me, no, not at all. I'm not hyper at all, the sugar is a good thing. I like sugar. It doesn't affect me at all. I hear the chocolate almonds calling... do you hear it? Sorry, gotta get some more chocolate.... thanks and good day.

I get looks of horror from my family when thy see me use the computer cause I have been a programmer too long to think of them as anything other than bits of plastic with no material value (metal when I started).

The food - anything really - is just left of the keyboard and I TRY not to get the grease on the mouse as it's just annoying later on. I change keyboards every year or so but mostly due to my "touch" typing skills (I started when keyboards were rather more robust remember) rather than food slime.

My keyboard pretty much eats everything I do. It seems to like the crumbs. Webcams are not particularly fond of beer though.
