		| For right now, I don't have many pictures... but I'm going to build my stock images up and see what I can make. Does anyone have any tips, pointers or anything? |

Low noise, sharp focus, good lighting and framing, and picking popular subjects seem to be the top criteria. Model-released photos of people should be especially popular.

You might want to browse each site and see what their most popular images are ... I think they all have a list.

I just built a lightbox out of PCV, so I'm gonna give this a go. White background, I'll pick up some craft board later today. I'm gonna' give stock photography a good, honest try and see if I can't make some decent money from it. Wish me luck!

Would you have any recommendations for UK based online stock sites?

As the thought of getting for example, a US$ check for $75 / month and having to cash it in an English bank doesn't sound that appealing as the cost of the cashing the check could be up to £30. |

I'd say check if the site pays with paypal. It should not cost as much to convert through them.

So, I shouldn't worry too much about my pics not getting accepted? |

I've had some problems getting my stuff on, they like bright photos most of the time, or something that allows graphic designers clipping paths and space to actually design around.

Make a lot of negative space rule of thirds shots, which I'm working on doing. Also, if you have pretty/handsome friends and some business attire, those will always do well. Possibly consruction equipment and other businessy things too, but stick with generic household items with shadowless lighting is a good idea.

I did not want to do that either at first but I did and I had no problems with it....they are just making sure it is you and not someone else.
