Don't count your chickens just yet; the way I look at it, phobia is lagging behind simply because FIRST you have to overcome your phobia, THEN you have to shoot it, THEN you have to face the phobia all over again to post-process it, and this takes time.

Looks like a case of PhobiaPhobia.

My guess is the description: Photograph something in such a way that it conveys a personal phobia or fear to the viewer. Try to make the viewer feel the emotion of the fear.

edit: I'd take yer bet, stare, but I have a fear of gambling.

I bottled out and took the easy option.. I entered Shallow DOF.. I took a few snaps of this bug here in Japan called a MUKADE its like a millipede with a black snake like body and bright red legs, it will kill a new born baby in 20 mins from a bite and a full grown man would be very sick after a nibble. I have killed a few and can tell you they don't die too easy either, waste of time stamping on them, spraying them with bug killer, or even hitting it with a hammer, dont work. best way to kill them is by burning them, I know it sounds very cruel and Im a horrible man etc etc but I have a small daughter and she comes first.

No phobia for me thanks but good luck to all who dared.

I'll seriously bet someone. But maybe something not of value..you know, since I'm not even legally able to gamble. How about the loser of the bet has to eat a spoonful of powdered sugar and peanut butter and take a picture of it and post it?

Lol...I actually like peanut butter and powdered sugar. So that won;t work too good. How about a spoonful of mustard and mayonaise mixed?

I've been taking photos for DOF because I couldn't remember what the other challenge was. Might as well stick with them now.

I love my picture....ahhh...It's pretty rad.

I'm tellin ya....This is my challenge to ribbon in, I got a feeling. I've place in the top 80 percentile 5 out of the last 8 challenges...I just can't seem to break through to the top 20 though.

I might place pretty high in the 4-5am challenge though.

Anywho...tuesday can't come soon enough:P

shallow focus is much easier if you ask me... i already have 2 potential entries, and i'm probably gonna come up with more tonight. Phobia is a pretty interesting one too, but shallow DOF is so awesome its hard to pass up!

well it can't be better than my succubas idea, only prob is how to arrange one to shoot. (if i could do it people will not say that this challenge did not have any nude in it).
