Just curious, someone recently stated that one of the first things they noticed besides the title was that they weren't candles, but rather that they were lights?
I am just curious, did anyone else think such?
I am actually pretty content with the score. So no gripes. And I did feel it was a very unique entry. So just curious, did you think they were candles or lights?

| I said they weren't candles and that they were lights. If they are candles I don't see it. I see solid round lights with no hint of wick or flame and all look the same intensity. |

If you look closely lower left you can see the brighter circle of the actual flame within the reflected circle of light...

Looks like the little candles, "tea lights" I believe they are called. Especially bottom left you can see the flames. I could see how at first glance someone may confuse them for lights because they are small.

Ok. I change my vote. Candles it is.
My problem may stem from the fact that I thought I was looking UP at something, not down. I didn't vote on all entries in Candlelight and I missed this one. Had I voted, I would have assumed they were candles, but still given it a 4 or 5 at best. It's just not a much above average shot.
Still finished a whole lot better than mine though - and mine was clearly a candle. LOL

I think they are candles. Light would have been even if it were lights.

Agreed,...it was just a fun shot, and something I hoped would be different than a bunch of photos of "candles on tables"
"Tea lights", "Votif Candles", "the little candles in the tin cups" they were by the way. It just never occurred to me that they'd get seen as lights.
BTW...it scored a "4.9" which I was fine with. Felt it's a good evaluation of the shot. So not complaining.
