I'm ready to move up from my 10D and would like your opinions. I've been shooting professionally for about a year now. I shoot mostly children's portraits in my very small studio (10'x12'), sometimes I shoot on location and outside. I usually use a 24-70L, and have the 85L which I love but its too telephoto for my space (I have a 16-35L too - I decided to invest in glass before a camera). I print all sizes of photos, and recently have been printing alot of 13x17s on canvas.
I've been very busy these last few months and made enough $$$ to get a 5D, but I'm considering investing in a MarkII. I'm a little confused about crop factors and the differences in the features of these two cameras. What I really want is spectacular, knock your socks off image quality and the ability to shoot with high ISO in natural light and still get great pics (something my 10D can't do). I don't necessarily need heavy duty since I shoot indoors and in good weather. Is the MarkII worth the extra$$$. What would you do?

For what you are shooting, I would choose the 5D, but that's just me

The description of your shooting requirements simply screams 5D. When you refer to the MkII, I assume you mean the 1DsMkII. I'd go with the 5D and save yourself a bunch of money. The image quality of the 5D is quite close to the 1DsMkII, so the only reason that I can see to go the 1DsMkII route is if you need specific features that are not present on the 5D.

The 5D would be ideal for you here without breaking the bank!
