Thanks for the comments. DOF - yeh, i as playing with my 'new' 70-210 2.8 lens. It was snowing and windy - i went here to get pics like this
Meaning b&w nature shots.
In the boy's photo, i had to clean his nose as he had some snot running out, and i just missed a wide eyed expression and got this look.
He is of hte age now where he can take direction and hold a pose. She is just over 2 and starting to be my model as he is developing a life of his own - at 5!
