I was a photographer for Cessna Aircraft for over 5 years. All kinds of people came through to get their airplanes.
A couple of Presidents, Garth Brooks, Hans Solo, Walmart owners, Nascar drivers, rock stars, etc.

My best friend and college roommate from years ago is Joel Gallen. We both were on the concert committee at college in Rhode Island. He stayed in the business and became a producer at MTV then on to create his own production company. He produces the annual MTV Movie Awards Show. He produced Eric Clapton's Unplugged CD...in fact he started the whiole Unplugged idea. He does TV Specials for all kinds of comedians and bands. In 2001 he produced "911 A Tribute for Heros Telethon" and won an Emmy. My family has met tons of Hollywood stars through him. Before Joel was famous, I met Charlie Daniels at college. I picked him up from the hotel to drive him to a concert. He was so nice and down to earth! I also met the Allman Brothers Band. When I was real little, my family used to live next door to the star from the old Bonanza series ("Hoss" Dan Blocker). I played with his son. In fact, Dan watched the 1st color episode of Bonanza on our TV because he didn't have a color one! Too funny. He was a huge man and he drove a tiny little sports car.

I met the guys from INXS before they became popular in the US. I used to work at an Exxon station in Houston,Tx. when I was about 18(1983). They pulled in driving 2 rented Ryder trucks to haul all their equipment around in. During the course of filling the trucks I asked where they were moving to and made the comment about having alot stuff if they needed 2 trucks to move it that's when they said they were a band and told me the name. I kinda shrugged and said cool. I never heard of them before so it wasn't a big deal to me.
The other one would be my ex brother-in-law went to school with Patrick Swayze.

wwwaayy back in the day....I dated an ugly radio DJ guy...he was funny and could buy beer...but definitely ugly. (I was 18 he was 24:) Anyhow....we had backstage passes to Journey and Lionel Richie. Got to meet both of them. Steve Perry wasn't a very sociable guy...seemed to be in a pissy mood...the lead guitarist? Can't remember his name, with the curly hair and started the band Journey....he was pretty flirty. Lionel Richie was very nice and courteous. He was extremely skinny and had a very pocked marked face....but again he was very nice and personable.

back in the day (1979) the aparment complex i lived in was popular with the pro athletes in Pittsburgh sports and even a few DJs.
The best was my neighbor - Randy Grossman, the backup tight end of the Steelers (Stallworth lived 2 doors farther down, Mel Blount went to my church).
Anyway, i was a senior in HS and would at times babysit his son Oliver. So to repay me one saturday I got to go to Three Rivers Stadium for a saturday practice, go in the locker room, get autographs, etc. This was the year the Steelers won their 4th superbowl so i met ALL the greats, got to walk on the field, met THE old man, Art Rooney Sr. and saw Mean Joe Green naked. He wasn't really mean, well, he did ask i wait till he got dressed. Somewhere i have all their autographs...i keep vowing to find that paper and see if I can sell it for a few hundred bucks or more...
Camera? no i didn't take one that day...and yes, i regret it.
