As many of you well know...I like water droplet shots. And I've kind of had a personal challenge going of trying to capture the perfect water drop.

Well...this is as close as I have come so far:

You can see the full version on my website where it looks a lot better.

Anyways...let me know what you think. I might just keep updating this thread as I come closer and closer to my goal.

I am SO a sucker for water droplet shots, as well as water shots in general. Blue is also my favorite color. I am loving your photo!!! And good luck with your personal challenge. I spent a whole day just playing with water AND orange juice drops too! LOL...Even milk. I did capture a dove from my milk droplet though, and that was really cool!

Are you the one that did the drop of beer landing in the beer? If you are, I really liked that one a lot. I have a swan picture somewhere where three little drops are falling from the swan's bill into the water. The drops are what I like about the picture.

enter that image in any challenge here.

as long as you mention the challenge somewhere in the title, you're bound to ribbon.

BWAWAWAWWWAAAHHH, how about for Phobias. Fear of the water. It could be water fearing water and running away from itself.

exactly. people are trigger-happy with 9s and 10s when they see a sexy water droplet.

I loathe water droplets, and all other liquid droplets. I score every water-or-liquid droplet a 3 or below, except in challenges where the description reads "capture a splash!"

Naw, I don't actually do that, but I do shudder every time I see a droplet/splash shot shoehorned into a challenge and scoring well. That said, I must admit that this is a very nice, silky-feeling droplet :-)

Hey very nice droplet Caleb. Very clear and the blue is beautiful.

Water droplets were cool 3 years ago when everyone had slow as the dickens digitals.

It took real skill to get that great water drop look..timing had to be perfect.

Now...pfft..I can get a perfect water drop 9 out of 10 shots..I can get it up , down, left right...in stop motion 8 frames a second. Most DSLR's have such good shutter response..plus..a good flash will stop if for you perfect too.

Now...when I used the Canon G2...THAT was skill.. 100 shots to get the good one with all that shutter lag.

We should have a quick water drop challenge..a 48 hour deal....bring it on!!!!!

The drop is nice Caleb - but i like the whole ripple for that added touch of perfection.

Good water shot. I haven't gotten a good water shot, but I did get this with my old Fuji 602Z

Thanks for all the compliments.... I know water droplets are loved by some and hated by some also.

I'm really just doing this for myself. I have this vision... Of the perfect water picture ever, and I don't want to stop until I get that picture.

So here's to staying up late for many more nights! Cheers!

Oh...and I was thinking about entering this for the "Puns" challenge...with the title "Water You Looking At" but I came up with a more clever idea, so I'm using that one.
