i found this website and was captured by the sweet notion of an around the world project.
any chance something like that could be done with the dpc worldwide gang?
anyone out there interested?
for nay-sayers out there... from the site:
There are times when one needs to do something in the least practical manner possible, just for the joy that it can bring to the soul. Like building a kite with a child, when a far better one could be bought. Or making by hand a birthday card with ribbons, and colored paper and crayons, when a far nicer one could be had at a shop. Or the fun of using an old camera to send on a long journey around the world, to make photos of places most of us will never see, by a stranger we will never meet.

That sounds kinda cool, Daisy. I have an old Sony P&S that I will volunteer to put in the mail, if there is interest in doing this. The only thing to work out is the download logistics.

| I'm definitely interested in something like this....maybe have a gallery somewhere so people can just upload all of the shots they take there...or have a bunch of memory cards follow the camera around and the next person just add another card to the collection or something? |
