I just recieved my order from B&H

100mm f2.8 Macro
MR-14EX Macro Ring lite
and adapter ring for the ringlite.. I ordered 77mm but got 72mm :( all my lenses are 77mm except the 50mm f1.4 and the 100mm Macro..
but now I'm all set for my trip to Paris on the 16th, and my stay in London from the 14th until the 18th, minus the daytrip to Paris :)
hopefully I'll get som shots worth uploading or even for a challenge ;)
I tried the macro lens. but I found the focus really slow, even with the ringlite wit the lamps lit, is it supposed to be so slow ?, I know it's not L quality, but it is USM, my other lenses are way faster than the macro lens.
It shouldn't matter, not for macro photography, but as a portraitlens it really does matter, specially when I got the wrong adapter ring so I can't use the ringlite on other lenses until I get a new adapter ring. |
