I went out yesterday looking for a rare visitor here, a Snowy Owl. We have had a few around and I wanted a better shot. No luck but it was such a nice day I stayed out and took a few shots of other birds of prey around the North Fork of the Skagit River here in Washington State. Hope you like them and comments are always welcome.

J.B. your shots are quite nice. But as you say Snowy owls are quite rare in Wash. state, thy are both short-eared owls with your Marsh Hawk. Thought ya might want to know. Never mind I miss read your post. Your correct in ID. Must be Monday, I can't read today, Van

Very nice stuff Bruce. Great job getting close with the 70-200. I love my Nikon 70-200 2.8 but find it a bit short most of the time for these type shots.

The 70-200mm shots were taken from the car. You can get a lot closer that way. The hawks don't seem as threatened by the car as they are by a person. I also found I can get closer in the winter.
