If anyone needs me, I'll be shovling the accumulation of snow off my head after today's game. Yeesh!
During the game I snapped my 10,000th shot on my D70s, which I've only had since August. Eeep!

10,000 since august? How many on your D100? My rebel is 11 months last week and i crossed 5500.
How did the equipment survive teh cold and snow? Clean the lens alot, didya?
WE WON!
I don't think we'll make the playoffs though.
Nice shots as always. I guess you use your Sigma 80-200 2.8 the most?
You watching Survivor tonite? the Times has an articel on Rafe - i guess he grew up in Sewickley!

My D100 has about 36,000 on it...
I didn't have any problem with my camera... but -- not to start a Canon/Nikon flame war or anything -- there were at least four guys who had their Canon cameras freeze up on them. I thought that was odd, since I've been to colder games than that. I had no trouble, thankfully.
Yep, I used the Sigma exclusively today.

Missed that part of your note... of COURSE I'm watching Survivor! I like Rafe since he's the local guy, but I like Stephanie for her aesthetic values :) |

Just asking about the lens - i have a tamron SP 70-210 2.8 due here tuesday...can hardly wait!
My rebel has been out for hours in the frigid cold (when new anyway) and worked flawlessly. I will hopefully get out at some point this winter and see how it does. I know on the one senior photo shoot i did it was 40-45ish F and the battery didn't seem to last too long. Could be perception as much as much as anything else.

I'm sure you'll like it! I really like the internal focusing of mine... and it seems to focus pretty quickly. The quick focusing seems to have a lot to do with the camera body, too, apparently -- it's much quicker on the D70s than the D100.
I don't know what the deal was with all the cameras dying yesterday on the field. I remember the AFC Championship game as being *extremely* cold, and I can't remember anyone complaining about their cameras dying. |
