Snow and Night vision are for me really difficult to handle, I have study this field of photographing for 4 years and now I think I finally got the grip of it, there are many tricks in handling this taking, For example how to get snow white and no blue in the shadow, is there a different exposure in snow taking and how to have camera not to noise in the dark taking what is best exposure in night taking, how to avoids burning spot in snow and night vision and many thing to think of.
What is your experience are you interesting in night and snow picture ?
Here are few results what do you think?

It is really strange on most picture webs, when it coms to real talk about how to handle difficult solution there is no participation
Is it because it is luck of performance ?

I always end up getting that blue cast. I have tried using the exposure compensation at different settings but the shadows are always weird, never perfect shadows like u have in the third picture.

i will try to find an example to show what i mean

No it is not real it is different blue cast in it depend of temperature and sky cast
still I like to see it more to gray it looks more normal

Next time you see snow study how you see the color in it

Ps. but I have seen snow whit pink cast so this is matter of taste

Hi Ben. Good to see your nick in the forums again, it's been a while. Did you get the PM I sent you?

I'll try to experiment some this weekend....snow pictures (at least in the night) are something I haven't done much of yet.

My camera has a white balance setting that uses Kelvins, in addition to the "Outdoor" setting...I'm wondering if changing that will help obtain more natural color.

Again, I'll try to experiment this weekend and if I get any good results/tips, I'll certainly share!
