or are others having an issue of viewing certain thumbnails on this site? Some of the images are instead replaced with [AD] , ursulas 'life after high school' ribbon winner does the same, yet when I click on the [AD] I can view the image fine. Does this mean that the images are awaiting decision or something?
Anyone?
Thanks |

Near as I can tell - - it's just you. I have never seen those symptoms before. Maybe SC can enlighten... |

LOL
Seriously, I really don't know why its doing it. I've tried rebooting, emptying my cache, I've tried internet explorer as well as Mozilla. I've never had this problem before. The only change that has happened to my system recently is my broadband speed has been upgraded. Funnily enough, the loading of thumbnails seems to be alot slower. Maybe it has something to do with that. I'll look into it :)
Thanks alot anyway |

I have seen posts that Norton Internet Security (or similar) can cause problems with thumbs. No direct experience, and you don't mention that you run or have installed it, but thought I'd mention it...just in case.
If you think this may be the case, search the forums for Norton, and I'm sure you'll find something to try.

My neighbor's machine runs a high level of Norton, and some of the thumbs are regularly eclipsed when I view the site on their machine. I disabled Norton once when I was house-sitting there, and that eliminated the problem. I caught hell for it though :-(

It's true that many users with Norton have problems viewing the thumbnails. To fix that, you'll want to go into the adblocking configuration menu and add www.dpchallenge.com to the allowable sites list and put a / in the html string window.
However, I've not heard any mention of thumbnails being marked with AD. I'm not sure what that's about unless maybe you're using another security software and it's doing that. It's nothing done by DPC, though. |

This used to happen to me. If you have Norton Internet Security you need to turn off "AD Blocking."

WAYHAY! *Merry little jig* I've managed to sort the problem out :) I don't use Norton security, but after fiddling around with my firewall (Outpost) I discovered an option that had been checked that prevented images within a certain size being displayed. Phew! Its always the simplist of things when it comes to fixing these technological thingymebobs :)
Thanks again everyone |
