The photos are fantastic by the way!
The links on the top nav dont appear to work?
Also when you click wedding s or any of the links further down they open is a new window. This is a usability issue

Quick fix, I had to post a script in there and, put in in the wrong spot, all links should work now.

Regarding the issue of opening a new window or not I tend to use the following guideline:
If the page is part of the site then don't use a new window. If the page is on a different site then use a new window.
When using links on one website to go to another I like to be able to return to the jump off point (by just closing the current window) rather than having to navigate there. This may not be standard practice, it's just how I like it.

yes but usability and accesibility are to please the masses. Not the individual! :-)
check this site out for usability stuff. www.simplebits.com and www.alistapart.com

Thanks.
Speaking of usability, it's nice to be able to click posted links. ;o)

A few suggestions:
- I'd change the font to something other than Times New Roman which is generally considered a rather unprofessional web design font. Arial, Verdana, or a number of others would be better.
- The button for wedding photography doesn't seem to fit in with the design of the rest of the site. It's a different color and different font than anything else on the site. I'd try to make that more uniform with everything else.
- While I understand the idea behind it, slagging on Walmart on the front page kind of puts me off. I think you could include this information somewhere else on your site and take out the direct insults ("same boring pose," etc. while putting a positive spin on yourself.)
- The "In partnership with" icon looks like it should link but doesn't.
- You have a number of spelling and grammatical errors.
- I find the fact that each gallery opens in a new window to be highly annoying. My preference is that no link ever open a new browser but as cpanioti pointed out, people have different opinions on that.
- In your header graphic, it looks like Photography is bigger than The Perfect Pose. I'd reverse that to emphasize your name.
Other than that, it looks nice, loads quickly and is easy to navigate. Hope this feedback helps! |

The front page renders wrong on Firefox - the Wedding Photography bit down the left stretches out to the bottom of the main text, and THEN you get the sitting fee pitch below everything else.
Also, you spelled "privately" wrong ;-)

I can confirm the broken layout in FF (1.5 for me). |
