And a case where a background can really make or break the shot. Personally, I think this should be the press photo of the year. The decade, even. Enjoy.


Image credit not available, but I'm sure someone is very proud of it.

I've rarely seen portraits where the character and qualities of the person being depicted is as well spelled out as they are in this image.

If that ever becomes "Press Photo of the Year" then real journalism has truly fallen to pieces.

Ok, I like Bush well enough - but that photo IS funny. Good use of background material if you're NOT a fan.

Should be Press Photoshop Hack of the Year - except that its not that good a photoshop job. The lighting's all wrong, the size of the head is off, and the possitions of the head and body don't really match. Any of the talented contestants in the Gauntlet challege could certainly do better.

edit: I'd be curious to know who's head was really in that picture.
