number 2, all the way. the saturation in the sky is just so much more interesting.

| Number 2 is better. The only thing I don't like about it is that flare. |

I was curious what it would be possible to bring out of this. Here's my quick stab at it:
The highlights on this image are irretrievably blown, but of course you knew that :-)
