Look at all the pretty lights...now we just need green one's for the Christmas season.

*shrug*

Better than calling 911 and not having any cops show up "three times"

Probably the same number of threats as pre-9/11, but they are just taken much more seriously now.

Threats don't make me feel less safe, explosions might.

Well maybe if we had whacked back effectively after the '93 bombing, we could have avoided the 9/11 one. Big maybe, maybe, but let me count how many terrorist attacks we have had in the U.S. since 9/11... Hmmmm...

I hear ya, Steve. I can imagine going through that every day. I used to commute by plane to California every week before 9/11 and I always had thoughts of plane crashes or terrorism and such, but I always try to look at things statistically - how many planes blow up or crash compared to how many take off and land safely. It may help for you to look at it that way.

Also, look at what other things you do that put you at risk from things other than terrorism? Smoke? Drink? Run numbers for the Mafia? ;-)

One last thing that works well for me is to consider my reckless youth and how I effectively tried to end my life in one way or another and I'm still here. Somebody up there likes me. ;-)

Take care and think pleasant thoughts.

What are we presently doing? Do you know everything the CIA/FBI is doing to combat terrorism? I'm pretty sure everything is not put on the news. It's fine to be against what is going on in Iraq and/or Afganistan if that is what you are getting at, but the war on terrorism is much larger then that.

I think he indicated that he was just expressing his feelings about what he has to live with on a daily basis. People look for ways to vent and most of us feel helpless about these things. It's a reasonable expression of how he feels.

AMAZING! It's inconceivable how the 3 top most liberal media outlets would be putting out such reports. More kool-aid?

It might if I gave a rat's ass about the 9/11 commission.

You could look at it from another angle: The sound of 60 cop cars racing to try to prevent something from happening is a lot sweeter than the sound of an explosion if/when they aren't forewarned.

Not very effective it's only a matter of time before there's a big boom and that boom will most likely not be any Red States.

It would be OK with you if a 'big boom' happened in a 'red state'?

why would you say that? Did he say that? I don't think so.
That must be how you feel then? right?
