An alert DPCer (thanks, Bryan) spotted a familiar image on a Lithuanian web site. I don't necessarily have a problem with someone showing off my stuff, but I'd certainly like to get credit for it. Can anybody tell me what the caption says?

looks like it is linked from image shack or something

can you contact the host and have them remove it

I had hte same thing happen last week and they hotlinked directly off my site, so I changed the image

I'm afraid I can't help you with a translation, and babelfish didn't help, either.
My only suggestion is to go to Paltalk, they have rooms in many languages, you might find someone who can help you translate.

I thinks it translates to "DPCers get little sleep on rollover night" ...

I think the translation is "Scalvert Rocks" ;)

;-)

I asked Imageshack to remove it. Thanks, Jab!

"Universitete, man tikrai praverstu tokie akinikai, nes pasitaiko neidoniu paskaitu, kur destytojas burba ponosim nesamones, ir niekas nesupranta:) Tai uzsidejai ir uzmigai:)"

I think it says something about the life of a university student is very similar or wait til she hits college or something and it says "I don't understand" or something ... if I see Kristina online tonight, I will definitely ask.

"i could use these glasses at the university, because sometimes there are uninteresting classes where the professor is murmuring nonsence under his nose and nobody understands - you can put them on and go to sleep"

yes?

I'm here, I'm here!

Looks like the poster collects humorous pictures on the web and posts them for fun, as in, "hey, look what I found!"

The title says: "I want such glasses" and the caption says the thing that Mavrik just copied from our IM conversation. In the comments people are responding to the glasses, not the picture. The poster does not claim he took the picture.

However, credit should be given where credit is due.

OK, thanks Kristina! I wouldn't mind the guy copying the image if he had included my name and/or a link back the the original. Something above JPEG 1 quality would be nice, too. ;-)

Even if you would't mind your shot being used, the bottom of the page says that it can not be used without permission. He should have asked first.

Hey, I also found a photo on this site which is also stolen. The photo finished 9th in the ODD challenge. The bad part is that the one who stole the pic takes credit for it.

Shannon, how did Bryan find your image on a Lithuanian website, anyway?

edited to say Bryan found it

I have no idea, but I'll bet 48,000 DPCers could nail down Bin Laden's current mailing address in a few hours. We have DPC spies everywhere! ;-)

here is a link to where I found one of my photos. I found it because they were hotlinking the image directly from my web site.

so I kindly uploaded a new pic with the same name. I have changed the image a few times, the current one says "Sorry I Win". i dont know what language this is, but someone told me its a thread about poems of the moon or something like that.

stolen photo site

James

You need to just start taking crappy pictures (like me) and nobody will steal them.
