Did I miss anyone?

I must insist on closing competitor nominations at this point before it gets unmanageable.

Missed me :( I was waiting to see the dates, but I can certainly play in the beginning, then I'll be knocked out anyway. But if you have enough that's fine.

Geez, this thread exploded. I didn't see if anybody above needed their dance card filled. Anybody up for a go?

I can try to dig up a few photos for people as well...

Crap, I'm sorry Neil I didn't mean to overlook you, I just thought you said you would be out of town for a few days and I thought we'd catch you on the next go around.

Dr Achoo and Nsphapiro so Neil doesn't have to sit out?

As long as they're not too tight of a crop! Remember we'll need 5 rounds of 'shopping 'em so there needs to be some flexibility in the image.

I don't care much what image you start us with. Anything can be used. :)

I think that's a great idea, but can Neil do it is the question? I was planning on starting this as soon as we get the images available.

Either way. If you want to close it off this time, I can indeed wait until "round two" (the next go-around). Otherwise, you can pair me with DrAchoo.

If it's OK with you... I'm sure you'll have some great contributions as will the good doctor... We'll look forward to seeing your duel next go 'round. Then we can have your undivided attention! :-)

Oh, thanks for clarification. I going in the freezer now to pummel some sides of beef as a warm up.

Hah! For my part, I have taken out my Godzilla-cloaked kitchen torch and I'm carmelizing some pears for desert. You ARE pear-shaped, right, Ken?

You may use this image for one of the other challenges if you wish: I can provide an unedited original minus the gothic glow and saturation-amping and sky gradient. I think it has potential for this challenge. Not for me and Ken though, I want to start from a neutral image.

I'd also suggest that original pics come from out of the camera instead of people portfolio's where they have been worked on already. Idnic's shot, for example, is already B&W...

If possible... we seem to be short on suggestions and I don't currently have access to my collection.

I'll provide the full size, badly rotated original :)

You guys are welcome to use any image in my portfolio. I can provide unedited versions of all of them, with some lead time to search the external drive. I just don't want to work on any of my own images in this particular competition.

What would you think about making the rounds specific so that people will know how far to go each round?

Round 1: Basic Editing
Round 2: Advanced Editing - no cloning
Round 3: Cloning Allowed
Round 4: ???
Round 5: No holds barred

I don't really like this idea - I want the challenge to increase PS skills of all kinds - if this gets adopted, please consider changing me out for Neil, who missed the action.

NO WAY! This is about "digital art" and there are no limits beyond the self-imposed. If I want to do basic editing, I'll enter an open challenge.
