A friend is looking for a camera for her daughter. She is 14 and will be traveling on a school program in Europe for three weeks this summer. Is there a camera available for under $200 that would be simple to operate, allow her to take pictures for the entire three weeks, and either stay charged or be easy to change the batteries.
Thanks for suggestions.

Howdie...
I would try these camera's as a good starting point.
Nikon Coolpix 5600
or this one
Canon Powershot A520
or this one
Knoica / Minolta Z10 is a really good camera, although a bit more expensive
Those three should get you in the ballpark :-D

If fully automatic digicam is what you are looking for, the FujiFilm FinePix F11 is a pretty good camera with high ISO for natural looking photos.

Olympus FE-100
Nikon Coolpix 3100
Look for something that takes standard batteries..
