Well im looking for a new lens again and i want something with a large range (so i dont have to keep changing lenses) and something good for sports and wildlife. I already have a 70-200 f/4L, but i feel like i dont get enough zoom with it. I have been reading a bunch of reviews about the sigma 50-500 and the only thing that seems bad about it is the weight. Does anyone have any other suggestions. Im trying to stay on a smaller budget so canon lenses are pretty much out of the question.
Thanks,
-dan

Great lens for the price and versatility.
Photozone.de has a review of the new version, may want to check it out.

Take a look at the Tamron 200-500 also. It makes a good compliment to the 70-200 you already have and keeps you away from the 10x zoom range of the Sigma (zooms over 3x tend to have more issues). I use it on a Nikon D70 and for the price it does a great job.
