Hi, I get these white dots in photos taken with my Finepix S5600 camera whenever I use long exposure more than 8 seconds. These photos are all 100% crops of the original. The white dots appear random all over the photo, and it is worrying me. Its a rather new camera so I dont think its dust or anything. Can someone advise me? Thanks

Hot pixels, but so many? its all over the image! And its like, 1 pixel in size too.... should I send it back to Fuji?

You almost need Clearasil to get rid of 'em zits dude. I would send it back.

you broke my heart, Rikki... but thanks. I will contact Fuji and have them sort it out, I guess. Meantime, is this normal?

Just an update in case someone searched the forums or have the same problem. Here is the reply from FujiFilm:

"...shutter speed of 5 sec or longer will heat up the photo-sensor
and this heat emission might be picked up the neighbouring photo-sensor
which result in a bright spot (hot pixel) on the picture taken
(especially in dark area)..."
