Everyone must have been mesmerized by the Free Study challenge. My score has been dropping since that voting booth opened ;) Was a steady 6.3 which is now trying not to dip below a 6.

I'm so disappointed. I thought my photo was very original. I guess people didn't like the lighting -- or lack of. I wanted the environment to hold its own without artificial lights or PS effects. :(

| Gosh I am around 5.8 I was hoping for more cos this was the most thought I put into any challenge. Does seem like it is a low scoring challenge though. |

this is my first entrance into a challenge and i dont quite know what to think about the 4.8 i currently have. i thought mine would do better, but this is the case with probably every entry so that doesn't mean much.

| I don't think people are understanding my idea or seeing it the way I do. Obviously lol. Now i'm sitting at a 4.3. Ah well, I got other things to worry about lol. I'm not entering any challenges for a while because I have too much going on. |

| I have to admit, I'm a bit disappointed with my 4.3, but I'm sure it could be worse....lol. This is my first entry to one of the challenges, but I usually watch and vote, and knew I was up against some incredible photographers. I just wish I had been able to figure out a way to keep the picture at a larger size and still have it under the 150k file size limit. :-( |

Pretty low scoring challenge it seems. Folks let's not forget what the challenge description says.
Details: Stamps, coins, dolls, cars, shoes... people will collect just about anything. Let's see what makes your particular collection special.

Well I played around with my picture and decided I could have done it much better. My focus was off a little, it needed sharpness and I was able to fix it after some adjustments. Last min photos are my downfall. Acept in the free study, it worked for me that time. |

I am still happy to be above a five, though I keep dropping little by little. I am, however, disappointed in a rather blunt and somewhat condescending comment I woke up to this morning. Not the best pace to set for the day. As far as I am concerned comments should be given as constructive criticism or compliments, but not as a mockery to someone's ability. Afterall, this is my first challenge, and I've only been working with this camera for a couple of months.

I'm still above 5 too, but it's also dropping... I hope I'll stay above, but I'm not sure. I didn't know what to do with this photo (enter or not), I guess I better not enter it next time when I have doubts.

Take it with a grain of salt... voters around here can be harsh, but I'd consider it very good that for a beginner you're hanging around 5.
My Industrial is hanging around 5.6, it's got a lot of good compliments and some good critiques, but it's also got quite a few comments that are just moronic in my opinion. Just take away from it, what you believe is helpful and forget about the others.

Ive learned to ignore the rude comments, there arent many people that leave them. Just work with the comments that work for you, the constructive ones.
