I have an 8x10 image with a resolution of 212. A friend wants a 16x20 print of the image. What option will give me the best looking print?
Leaving it at the 212 resolution and just print an16x20?
Resample the 8x10 to a resolution of 200 then print?
Resample the 8x10 to a resolution of 300 then print?
Other?
Also when resampling what method will give the best results?
bicubic?
bicubic smoother?
bicubic sharper?

Thanks

Bicubic smoother provides the best results when upsizing (from what I've seen).

Minimum acceptable dpi is around 150 so to get the 16x20 at that resolution you'll need to increase the resolution of the 8x10 to 300. Doing it in steps of 10% usually provides the best results but that depends on the image. You may be able to get away with doing it all at once or you may need smaller steps.
