95 times of a 100 it is not a hassle to ship out of USA
30 sec extra at the post office filling out the little slip of paper
possibly it's the trip to the postoffice that gets people tied up in knots
about out of country shipping \
but duties & taxes are not the sellers problem & if it is shipped first class to 'most' western nations you can buy insurance
i lived long enough in the US to send a pile-o-crap to canada
as well as sending crap south ..
no more of a bother than gettig the item weighed for shipping ..

Crap, exactly what I've been looking for but in too nice a mood to go head-to-head with idnic in a bidding war. We'll see how I feel in 9 hours ;)

Someone has an automatic bid going, I just ran the price up by another $15.00 for you ... decided not to continue chasing the unknown max bid already input. Good luck!

Aweeeeeee thanks! :) I'm quickly outgrowing my current bag. If I don't get this one, there is another LP bag I have my eye on.

Lee could always reject that bid, since they have poor feedback.

Originally posted by DanSig: why is it when Americans put something on ebay it's always "ship to USA only" but when people from any other country put something on ebay it's "ship to worldwide"
it's like you americans think you are alone in the world, or the only people with money....
we do have paypal accounts in Iceland, and we ARE richer than you Americans !
so why not offer your products worldwide, buyer pays shipping so it really dosn't matter where you ship it, you just got 5.600.000.000. more potential buyers.
the only thing is to exclude those few countries known for their ebay scams. |
U.S. shipping to other countries encounter stricter policies than items going through customs coming into the U.S. I work in the business.
It shouldn't be that way, but it's the way it is and we have to deal with it.
Oh yeah, also..........the person selling can choose to send it overseas or not.

Too late - I rebid a little while ago, won, and have paid (isn't ebay great!). I wouldn't mind if he did reject that bid but I'm happy with the outcome.
Sorry Cindi, I did wait to bid until you weren't in play any longer.
Edit to add: I now have a credit card, a computer with Internet access, and a glass of vino - *not* a good combo.

Oops! It was your feedback that I was looking at. =)

Yeah - I don't purchase often from e-bay. Usually fly rods and a couple of lenses, and I don't push the feedback gig.
Yikes - I just looked and the guy who left -ve feedback was a loon and left the feedback 2 months after money and items exchanged hands, I'm contacting ebay to clear my (relatively) good name. Thanks for pointing out my negativities.
